The farms which supply the milk for Proserum are in South Australia. This allows the cows to be grass-fed and graze year-round on natural pastures. The milk is GMO-free, hormone-treatment-free, pesticide and chemical-free and undergoes minimal processing.
Proserum Processing Method
Our Proserum whey protein concentrate undergoes minimal processing to avoid excessive damage to the fragile native protein components naturally present within the milk. Our milk is flash pasteurized for 15 seconds at 72˚C before immediately being cooled to 3˚C. No added heat is used after this point and our whey is then dried using our proprietary ambient-air drying method to produce an easy-to-mix whey protein concentrate that does not require the addition of lecithin. Our whey is never subjected to irradiation, micro-filtration, hydrolyzation, ion-exchange or acid-treatment. The resulting whey protein concentrate has been branded as Proserum®. Independent laboratory testing supports our processing method since Proserum protein consistently maintains the highest levels of Immunoglobulins, Lactoferrin and Serum Albumin, the three fragile protein components most sensitive to over processing.
